The incident occurred on Thursday, January 14, after 10:00 a.m., at the 55th kilometre of the A18 motorway (near the exit to Świętoszów). The driver of a Mercedes Sprinter travelling towards Olszyna lost control of the vehicle, which overturned. Two people were travelling in the Mercedes. The female passenger died at the scene. The driver, in serious condition, was taken to hospital.
