The tenth, anniversary Christmas Wafer Meeting for people with disabilities will be held on Saturday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the sports hall of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec (Tyrankiewiczów Street). Almost one thousand people will take part.

“We take part in organizing many events, but the Christmas Wafer Meeting holds a special place in my heart,” says county head Cezary Przybylski. “During this meeting, such positive energy circulates among people that it provides additional motivation for further work.”

This year’s Christmas Wafer Meeting program includes, among other things:

  • Holy Mass celebrated under the direction of Legnica Bishop Stefan Cichy
  • the announcement of the results of the “Memory of the Christmas Wafer Meeting” art competition
  • a shared meal
  • an artistic program featuring people with disabilities

During the ceremony, visitors will also be able to see an exhibition of artwork created by people with disabilities and a film summarizing the Christmas Wafer Meetings held to date.

“We begin organizing the Christmas Wafer Meeting several months in advance,” says Barbara Kostyra, head of the Social, Civic Affairs and Health Department. “I can confidently say that our driving force is the volunteers: students, soldiers, representatives of non-governmental organizations and many other people of good will.”
