The incident took place on Monday, 31 May, on the A4 motorway. After 4 a.m., two heavy goods vehicles collided there. The 55-year-old Slovak citizen, who was driving a MAN heavy goods vehicle with a trailer, crashed into the rear of another lorry. Three people were injured, and the Slovak was taken to the hospital in Zgorzelec.

According to the police, the road on this section of the A4, towards Zgorzelec, was blocked. A diversion was designated at the Łąka interchange, where traffic was directed onto DK 94. Drivers who were stuck on the A4 were allowed through using the emergency lane.

The motorway is moving again.
