When will the Mój Prąd 2021 grant be available?

This year's edition of the Mój Prąd photovoltaic subsidy program starts on 1 July 2021. Applications for grants can be submitted from that date. The application period is scheduled to run until 22 December. Photovoltaic system owners will therefore have less than half a year to complete all the formalities and submit their applications. It is worth remembering that people who installed their systems from the beginning of February this year can also apply for the grant. They can safely wait for applications to open and be among the first to submit their applications online in July.

How long does it take to install photovoltaic panels?

A well-coordinated team can install a photovoltaic system within one or two days. The bigger problem is the availability of installation dates. At the height of the season, demand for photovoltaic panels is so high that wholesalers sometimes run out of stock. The pandemic and supply problems from manufacturers do not help either. That is why many companies specify installation within 30 or even 90 business days in their contracts.

Sunvival Energy can offer shorter lead times, from 10 to 30 days, because it has its own warehouse and a large supply of photovoltaic panels and inverters. Careful planning and experienced installation teams make it possible to offer customers faster installation.

How long does it take to replace the meter with a bidirectional one?

Immediately after the photovoltaic system has been installed, the appropriate notification must be sent to the energy company. The photovoltaic system must be connected to the grid and the meter replaced with a bidirectional one. Only specialists from the power utility can do this. The energy company has 30 days from the date the application is received to replace the meter and connect the photovoltaic system, although it most often takes about 20 days.

It is better not to wait before sending the application to the energy company. Once again, the rule “first come, first served” applies. During the peak season, installers' schedules can be very tight. The most convenient option is to commission Sunvival Energy specialists to contact the energy company.

How do you submit a Mój Prąd application?

Applications for the Mój Prąd grant can only be submitted electronically from 1 July 2021. Authentication via e-PUAP or an e-ID is required to submit an application.

In addition to address details, the Mój Prąd application must include information about the photovoltaic system, such as:

  • Investment cost
  • The number of the comprehensive agreement with the energy seller
  • The Energy Consumption Point number

A Sunvival Energy specialist can also submit the grant application on behalf of the customer. As with the notification for meter replacement, applications for photovoltaic subsidies are handled for customers. At Sunvival Energy, this is part of the standard service provided to every customer. More information can be found in the guide MÓJ PRĄD GRANT on Sunvival.pl.

What can you do to receive the Mój Prąd grant faster?

One solution is to have the photovoltaic system installed quickly. Ideally, the system should already be operating in July, with the documents ready to be sent. It is obvious that applications submitted at the beginning of July will be processed first.

People who decide to install photovoltaics late will have little time. It is important to remember that installing a photovoltaic system and completing the formalities can take between 2 and 5 months. Applications for the Mój Prąd grant in this edition can only be submitted until 22 December 2021. Therefore, applications submitted at the end of the year may not be processed until 2022. A similar situation occurred in the previous edition. In December 2020, as many as 1,000 applications a day were submitted to the system, and processing them took the fund's employees about 6 months.

Those who want to install photovoltaics and receive the Mój Prąd grant this year are encouraged to get in touch via www.sunvival.pl or by phone at 22 113 45 44.

Short lead times and assistance with the formalities significantly shorten the entire grant application process. Company specialists who deal with the energy company and NFOŚiGW on a daily basis quickly and smoothly complete the relevant applications. All matters are handled electronically, which also considerably speeds up certain processes. Customers, meanwhile, can be sure that they only need to call or write to their account manager to find out the status of a particular matter.
