ZOZ:
The unit specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the entire digestive system. With excellent therapeutic results, doctors perform procedures for which residents of Bolesławiec County had previously been referred to large medical centers.
The team led by Paweł Remiszewski undertook a procedure that was innovative on a national scale: endoscopic resection of an anal tumor. The procedure was a complete success. Using an endoscope made it possible to limit the area of the body affected by the procedure to the necessary minimum, unlike traditional surgical methods. The patient also avoided the need for a stoma bag, which is extremely troublesome and unpleasant during recovery. To date, only a few similar procedures have been performed in Poland using an endoscope.
Hospital: – Having examinations at the Endoscopy Unit provides an opportunity to detect cancerous and precancerous lesions of the large intestine, stomach, esophagus and other organs. All it takes is the courage to register for an appointment. Doctors will rule out disease or, in the worst case, begin treatment, remove lesions and indicate possible treatment options.
Even more modern
The unit has undergone comprehensive modernization. It is patient-friendly and, from the moment they enter, does not resemble a place where procedures that many people find embarrassing are performed. Two diagnostic and treatment stations ensure patients’ peace and privacy.
ZOZ: – Only fear and a falsely understood sense of shame prevent people from using the Endoscopy Unit’s procedural services. It should be added that the procedures are performed under anesthesia, so the patient does not experience discomfort.
The Endoscopy Unit is located on the second floor of Building A. Registration telephone numbers: 75 738 02 94, 532 546 398.
