In October last year, the Olympiad of Agricultural Knowledge and Skills was held. A total of 8,498 people from across Poland took part in the school-level qualifying rounds of the 45th edition of OWiUR, including a fourth-year veterinary technician student from Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych Mariusz Wawrykowicz, who took second place at the regional stage, held at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and thus qualified for the central stage. The student was prepared for the Olympiad by Dr Katarzyna Igielska

It is worth noting that the Olympiad of Agricultural Knowledge and Skills is one of the oldest and most prestigious competitions of knowledge and practical skills organized in our country. The Olympiad is held under the patronage of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Congratulations to Mariusz, and we wish him continued success.
