Police officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec established during operational activities that property originating from crimes committed in Bolesławiec County was located on a property in Lubań County.
During an inspection of the area used by the 34-year-old, police officers found, among other things, more than 50 posts of various lengths and widths and two panel gates. The recovered property consisted of road infrastructure elements used to protect the A4 from animals entering the roadway. The secured elements were stolen in April along an almost 20-kilometre section of the motorway. The losses were valued at PLN 2,700.
The resident of Lubań County was charged with receiving stolen property. He told police officers that he had purchased the property at a very attractive price. Receiving stolen property is punishable by up to five years in prison. Officers are currently carrying out activities aimed at apprehending the perpetrator of the theft of the posts and gates.
The recovered property was handed over to the road service.
