Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that a heavy goods vehicle carrying bulk materials, with two men inside, had overturned onto its side and broken through a road barrier. As a result of the impact, the vehicle’s cab was severely deformed, trapping one of the drivers inside.
The Bolesławiec SGRT crews secured the scene and stabilised the heavy goods vehicle using a winch. In cooperation with firefighters from JRG Legnica and OSP Ulesie, they also used specialised hydraulic tools to gain access to the injured person.
After approximately 1.5 hours, the man was freed and, without serious injuries, handed over to the medical rescue team. The operations of the JRG Bolesławiec firefighters lasted 3 hours and 26 minutes.
