The incident occurred on April 9. As reported by the officers from OSP Czernahttps://www.facebook.com/OSPKSRGCzerna/:
[...] the chief of our unit, firefighter Tomasz Majowski, was driving to work when he noticed that two men were resuscitating a man lying on the pavement in front of a shop near Zgorzelec. He immediately stopped his car to provide assistance. After putting on personal protective equipment (a mask and gloves), he helped resuscitate the casualty together with two witnesses to the incident. He began, of course, by clearing the airways, and then proceeded with chest compressions.
One of the witnesses called the ambulance service. After a few minutes, a medical emergency team arrived at the scene. The rescuers took over care of the casualty. The firefighters from Czerna:
During this time, firefighter Tomasz actively helped: first with resuscitation, and later with ventilating the casualty.
The casualty regained vital signs after 15 minutes.
Several days passed, and Majowski received a call from the casualty's employer, who thanked him. It emerged that the man whom the firefighter from Czerna had helped save had suffered an extensive heart attack, but was now slowly recovering.
The officers:
We would like to congratulate Tomasz on the successful resuscitation!!!
And they add:
Dear all! Let us remember that first aid must always be provided. In this area, we firefighters are trained by TRS Artur Mądracki, whom we highly recommend.
