The students’ favorite figures to depict are angels, snowmen, Santa Clauses, and even Winnie the Pooh, who appeared on one of the Christmas trees. The paintings also feature symbols directly associated with Christmas. A family at the Christmas Eve table and a nativity scene show how important home and a family atmosphere are to the children.
The works were created individually and collectively, using a variety of techniques. Painting, cutting paper, dyeing pinecones, and even using pasta are just some of the ways the students artistically depicted Christmas trees, stars, and snowflakes. The children’s teachers and educators from the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół Specjalnych supervised the work. The exhibition can be viewed until January 29.
