As we read on the radiowroclaw.pl:
In Bolesławiec, at the expense of the surgery department, another 30 beds for COVID patients will be created.
The situation across the country is dramatic. Today, another grim record of SARS-CoV-2 infections was set: 35,143 new cases. As many as 443 people died. In our voivodeship, as many as 2,876 new infections were recorded. In Bolesławiec County, the number of people ill with COVID increased by 49 today. 733 people are in quarantine.
The county hospital previously had 140 COVID beds. After the latest change, it will have 170 places for infected patients.
As istotne.pl Kamil Barczyk, director of the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Bolesławcu, told the website, this does not mean that the surgery department will be closed. The emergency surgery unit and the outpatient clinic are operating normally. Patients who urgently need a surgeon’s help will probably not even notice this change. (Elective procedures—as recommended by the sanitary authorities—have been suspended during this most critical period).
We will certainly return to the subject.
