The detention took place on Sunday, March 21. Border Guard officers selected a passenger car traveling into Poland for inspection. Two citizens of our country were traveling in the car: a 29-year-old and a 30-year-old. – During the inspection of the car, Border Guard officers discovered six transparent bags filled with marijuana. The drugs transported by the 30-year-old, weighing 1.3 kilograms and worth nearly PLN 58,300, were secured, while both women were detained – reports Border Guard Major Joanna Konieczniak, press spokesperson for the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit.
Further proceedings in the case are being conducted by the Border Guard under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zgorzelec.

Since the drugs transported by the women were in a significant quantity, they face a heavy fine and a prison sentence of no less than three years.
