Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn arrested a man suspected of committing two burglaries and recovered property worth more than PLN 10,000.

Both crimes occurred during the night of March 16–17 in one of the localities in Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality. “The perpetrator overcame the security measures and entered farm buildings and a detached house. He stole a car trailer, into which he loaded a number of valuable items that happened to be within reach at the crime scene,” reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. “The losses caused by these actions were estimated at more than PLN 10,000. The burglar stole the trailer, as well as tools and power tools, including a lawn mower, saw, grinder and brush cutter.”

The 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was arrested. Officers determined where the man had hidden his loot. The spokesperson said: “On the grounds of an abandoned property, they secured a car trailer packed to the brim. In addition, while inspecting a garage next to the house, officers recovered the remaining tools stolen by the perpetrator.”

The 30-year-old now faces a sentence of between one and as many as ten years in prison.
