– The exercising subunits strive to achieve a common objective: carrying out the assigned task. This requires cooperation between the staffs of different armies. Achieving interoperability in this exercise means that the brigade staff should establish an excellent relationship with its subordinate staff—the battalion staff—regardless of nationality, said Brig. Gen. Rafał Kowalik.

Unit:

Cooperation between the cavalry troops from Świętoszów and the tank crews of Germany’s 41st Armored Grenadier Brigade has been ongoing for several years, during which time many joint exercises have been held. The Cross Attachment initiative is developing rapidly, and the coming months and years will bring new challenges, but also new opportunities that will certainly provide mutual benefits for both the Polish and German brigades.

– During this year’s Kuna-21 exercise, both sides are improving their skills in exchanging information and submitting reports, while also working to streamline cooperation procedures between the command posts of the two armies, said Lt. Col. Krzysztof Kacperek.
