The incident occurred in Radostów Średni (Lubań County). A 10-kilogram fragmentation bomb manufactured in the Soviet Union was found at the edge of a forest, next to a cultivated field. Patrol Saperski Bolesławiec detonated the unexploded ordnance on site. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Sappers explain that there are many such bombs in our area:

Because of its small size and shape (approximately 25 cm), the bomb […] is difficult for residents of our region to identify, as it is often mistakenly confused with a fire extinguisher or a compressed-air tank.
