The incident took place on Wednesday, March 10. Volunteer firefighters from Raciborowice:
[…] at 7:27 p.m., we were dispatched to Iwiny, to the second housing estate, where soot in a chimney flue had caught fire.
They added:
The operation involved extinguishing the fire in the central-heating furnace, checking the building for carbon monoxide, and removing smoldering soot from the chimney flue.
Fortunately, no one suffered anything more serious. Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Raciborowice and Warta Bolesławiecka took part in the operation.
