On Monday morning, soldiers and several dozen pieces of equipment began moving to the field training area, including 122 mm WR-40 LANGUSTA launchers and 152 mm DANA self-propelled howitzers. Over the next two weeks, the soldiers will carry out a range of tasks, including firing and fire direction, as well as selected tactical exercises.
The start of the field training was preceded by briefings on environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire regulations, and compliance with discipline. “You are facing a two-week period of field training,” said Colonel Marek Wasielewski, commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, during the opening assembly. For each of you, this will be an opportunity to test yourselves in the artillery profession. The field training will enable the completion of a range of training activities that could not be carried out at the exercise area near the barracks.
