Along with the planned merger of Orlen and Lotos, the fuel terminal in Bolesławiec, on Kościuszki Street, will probably be sold, claim Civic Coalition MPs – Zofia Czernow, Piotr Borys and Michał Jaros. The three MPs held a conference on Monday (March 8) devoted to the planned merger of PKN Orlen and the Lotos Group. The MPs were joined in their protest by a Bolesławiec Civic Coalition activist – Urszula Magryś. In the view of Civic Coalition MPs, the merger means the breakup of the Lotos Group, which will be forced to sell 80% of its retail stations (nearly 400 fuel stations and several companies operating in various fields).

Thirty percent of the Gdańsk Refinery is to be privatized. Lotos will cease to exist. According to the MPs, the merger will cause unfavorable changes in the fuel market and negatively affect the economy (causing losses). It is not known who is advising the government on this sale (merger). The MPs appeal to the prime minister to refrain from making such decisions at a time when a recession prevails worldwide in the oil market.
