Later, carols were performed on stage by the Bolesławiec Brass Band, the choir of the State Music School, students of Primary School No. 1, the “Jutrzenka” Song and Dance Ensemble, female students of the Primary School in Trzebień, students of the Occupational Therapy Workshops, people with disabilities from the Community Self-Help Center, female students of the Primary School in Dąbrowa, the music ensemble from Middle School No. 2, students and the “Oktawa” ensemble from Middle School No. 4, and the ensemble from the Youth Cultural Center.

One of Saturday’s more interesting attractions was a free bus tour of Bolesławiec and Kliczków Castle. Adam Faltyn, an employee of the Tourist Information Office at BOK, organized the two-hour tour in an exceptionally attractive and professional manner. He guided groups dressed as Santa Claus and handed out chocolate candies to make the tour even more enjoyable for the children.

Adam Faltyn transported visitors back in time and guided them around places where, thanks to his stories, former buildings, pepper mills, Bolesławiec Castle and even a cheese factory that once stood on the site of the Vocational Mechanical School came to life.

The Santa Claus guide had a wealth of intriguing facts and interesting information about Bolesławiec’s most important sites and monuments. Tourists could visit the temporary Christmas Crèches exhibition at the Museum of Ceramics free of charge. The route led to Kliczków Castle. The final group toured the castle courtesy of the official guide Paweł Wasilewicz.

What awaits us on Sunday?

A Christmas market will be held in the Market Square. The stalls will offer Bolesławiec ceramics and Christmas decorations, as well as traditional Christmas Eve dishes.

The organizers invite children to Santa’s House, next to the live nativity scene, where Santa Claus will read them stories. The little ones can listen to stories from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Visitors can also see the live nativity scene prepared by Bożena Długosz. This year it features a heifer, lambs, a donkey and a pony; the last two animals were loaned by “Niebieski Burak” from Łaziska. Members of the “Jutrzenka” Song and Dance Ensemble portray Joseph, Mary and the shepherds.

On Sunday, we also invite you to a whip-shooting contest, a Polish Christmas tradition. The event will begin with a performance by the Municipal Brass Band at 4:00 p.m. The contest results will be announced and prizes awarded at 5:40 p.m.

The three-day celebration will conclude with the concert “Sung Poetry and More...” at 7:00 p.m. You are invited.
