Lubin criminal investigators were working on a case concerning thefts from shops. “The perpetrator primarily stole designer perfumes with a total value of nearly PLN 5,000,” reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin. “Officers established that the suspect would enter a shop and, pretending to be a customer, observe the drugstore staff, then, taking advantage of their momentary inattention, take designer, expensive perfumes from the shelves. With no intention of paying for the goods, the man would quickly leave the crime scene.

Criminal investigators established that a 33-year-old resident of Lubin could be responsible for the thefts in question. The suspect was arrested in Polkowice.

The Lubin resident admitted to the charges. The man had previously been convicted of crimes against property. He could now face between three months and as many as five years in prison.
