The fire broke out before 11 p.m. on Friday, February 12. The flames appeared in an apartment in the building at 3 Żwirki i Wigury Street. Firefighters managed to reach the burning attic. One person was injured. The man was in the bathroom of the apartment. He was unconscious.
More than 22 residents of this and the neighboring tenement building were evacuated; there was heavy smoke in the building. Five fire service units, an ambulance and the police are at the scene.
