On February 9, Dariusz Sas was summoned for 10:00 as a person accused under the Code of Petty Offenses. The second matter was a summons for 11:00 as a witness in a case concerning the organization of illegal gatherings.
After the questioning, Darius Sas issued a brief statement.
– Allow me to begin with the most important things – said Darius Sas. – Today, several hundred people died in our country; last year, 70,000 more people died than the year before, and several thousand people were infected with coronavirus today. Additionally, Krystyna Pawłowicz is enjoying herself at a spa, while Emilewicz is skiing with her family. PiS representatives in the field say openly: we steal and we are greedy for power. On top of that, it is winter. Half the country is covered in snow. And in all this, I was summoned to the police today so that charges under the Code of Petty Offenses could be brought against me, because I attended a meeting with Andrzej Duda in July, expressed my opinion about President Duda, and failed to keep my distance. I failed to keep my distance because I was confined with others in a police cordon, waiting for the police to check our identities. Today, I refused to testify, I do not agree with the charges presented to me, and I hope the case will go to court, where I will be able to seek justice. I did not in any way break the law in force in Poland – the activist added.
