We received the report of the fire from our reader. A fire broke out in one of the apartments in a block on aleja Wojska Polskiego in Bolesławiec (in the former workers’ hotel) before 6:00 p.m. A quilt caught fire, probably from a cigarette with which a woman had fallen asleep. Neighbors noticed the smoke.
Firefighters forced open the door and led the semi-conscious woman out of the smoke-filled apartment. The injured woman was given oxygen. The fire was quickly extinguished. The woman was taken to hospital for observation.
