Border Guard officers from Zgorzelec arrested a 31-year-old resident of Lubusz Voivodeship who was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant. “On Friday, January 28, German services handed over a 31-year-old resident of Lubusz Voivodeship as part of readmission. The man was deported after serving a prison sentence for thefts committed in Germany,” says Border Guard Major Joanna Konieczniak, press spokesperson for the Commander of the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit. “While verifying his personal details, officers discovered that he was wanted by Interpol under a European Arrest Warrant.”

Further proceedings involving the detainee are being conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.
