On New Year's Eve, the Municipal Police duty officer received a report of nuisance burning on Wałowa Street. Municipal Police:

A patrol was dispatched to the scene. During an inspection of the burning, officers found a plastic bag that had contained heating fuel in the furnace. It was the cause of the smoke and unpleasant smell on the aforementioned street. As a result, the offender was fined and instructed to refrain from similar conduct in the future.

A similar intervention by Municipal Police officers took place on Modłowa Street. Heavy smoke was observed there. The officers:

After locating the source of the smoke, it was determined that various types of paper waste were being burned in a metal barrel. Since a total ban on burning in the open air is in force in the city of Bolesławiec, the man was fined. He was also ordered to extinguish the fire immediately, which he did without delay.

Bolesławiec Municipal Police:

We remind residents once again that, under the Waste Act, burning waste in building heating installations is prohibited. The ban also applies to burning waste in the open air. Proper waste management will help avoid penalties and, most importantly, contribute to improving air quality in our city.

The officers add:

Inspections of burning are conducted during patrol duty on the initiative of Municipal Police officers, as well as in response to reports from residents.
