At the end of last year, a meeting was held in Gierałtów during which the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich, and the ministry of justice representative, Józef Rypiński, handed over equipment and supplies to the local Volunteer Fire Service, purchased from the Justice Fund, administered by the Ministry of Justice.

Municipal officials:

The project funded the purchase of 2 complete Fenzy-type breathing apparatuses, 14 firefighting helmets, 10 W52/20 coated delivery hoses, 4 W75/20 coated delivery hoses, and a petrol-powered branch pruning saw.

The cost was PLN 24,837.60, of which PLN 24,585.10 was financial support from the Justice Fund. The remainder, more than PLN 250, was contributed by Nowogrodziec Gmina.

Local government officials add:

The implementation of the project and the co-financing received will contribute positively to increasing the safety of the residents of Nowogrodziec Gmina. Thanks to the equipment received, the OSP Gierałtów firefighters will be able to provide more effective assistance to the community, while the much-needed personal protective equipment will ensure their own safety. Volunteer fire services are part of the local community, provide assistance to residents, and demonstrate ambition and commitment, which are increasingly appreciated and supported by government and local government institutions.
