Officers of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, as in previous years, are conducting the Winter campaign, whose aim is to prevent threats to the lives and health of homeless and helpless people. The preventive measures taken by police officers are intended to limit tragic incidents and provide assistance to as many people in need as possible.

As part of the campaign, officers regularly check places where homeless people may be staying. Police officers pay attention to people under the influence of alcohol who are in circumstances threatening their lives. In carrying out the campaign’s objectives, officers, as in previous years, cooperate with other services and institutions.

All these activities are intended to provide assistance. Therefore, while carrying out their official duties, police officers will provide people in need with information and all possible help in reaching facilities that assist homeless people and others requiring care. This winter season, due to the pandemic and sanitary restrictions, the rules for using night shelters have changed.

Police officers appeal to residents of Bolesławiec County to pass on to the services information about people in need whose lives or health may be at risk because of low temperatures.

Let us remember that someone’s life may depend on our involvement and assistance. Sometimes even one phone call is enough.
