The assumptions of the national vaccination program were presented at a conference by Minister Michał Dworczyk, Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski and the Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister for COVID-19, Prof. Andrzej Horban.

Who can apply to participate in the program?

Minister Dworczyk:

Entities that complete the online application form by December 11 and meet the specified requirements will be eligible to participate in the program

He added:

After December 11, depending on how many entities declare their participation in the program, we will decide how many reserve hospitals will be used in urban agglomerations as mass vaccination points. On December 15, in turn, we will provide information about all the registered points where people will be able to get vaccinated

Ministry officials:

We particularly invite the following to participate in the vaccination program:

  • primary healthcare clinics (POZ),
  • doctors running independent practices,
  • hospitals,
  • reserve hospitals.
  • What requirements must an entity administering vaccinations meet?
  • operating hours – at least one vaccination team available a minimum of 5 days a week,
  • at least one mobile team available – organizing vaccinations for patients who cannot reach the vaccination point,
  • at least 180 vaccinations per week administered by one vaccination team,
  • premises allowing effective separation of vaccinated people from other patients.

How much will it cost?

The ministry emphasizes:

The vaccine is voluntary and free of charge for patients.

Rates (for medical entities):

  • at a vaccination point without patient transport – PLN 61.24
  • at a vaccination point with patient transport – PLN 68.15
  • vaccination at the place of residence – PLN 95.70
  • vaccination at the patient's place of residence when more than 5 patients are registered at the same address – PLN 73.19.

What will the vaccination procedures be?

  • the vaccination point must have a designated person coordinating vaccinations, inviting individual people into the waiting room and ensuring that those inside maintain distance from one another,
  • people entering the waiting room disinfect their hands,
  • a minimum distance of 1.5 m should be maintained between people in the waiting room,
  • people entering the waiting room and examination room must cover their mouth and nose,
  • the waiting room must be ventilated once every hour, either indirectly or directly,
  • the room where the vaccination is administered and the examination area must be ventilated once every hour for at least 5 minutes,
  • the examination area and vaccination station must be disinfected regularly,
  • door handles, handrails, chair backs and the waiting-room floor must be disinfected once an hour,
  • a distance must be maintained between the person being examined and the person being vaccinated, including through the use of screens or partitions ensuring privacy during vaccination,
  • before vaccination, the person must complete a questionnaire in the waiting room or bring one already completed.
