Officers from the Police Station in Kowary identified and then arrested a 26-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County suspected of burglary.

According to investigators, the crime took place between 20 and 21 October 2020 in one of the localities in Mysłakowice municipality. The man took advantage of the owner's absence and robbed her apartment. He stole property worth nearly PLN 17,000. This included, among other things, consumer electronics, clothing, perfumes and gold jewelry.
After being notified of the incident, police officers began searching for the person who had committed the crime. The spokeswoman said: “As a result of the measures taken and the information gathered in the case, they identified and arrested the 26-year-old as a suspect in the crime. During a search of his apartment and car, police officers found most of the stolen items. It turned out that the man had given the clothing, perfumes and some of the jewelry to his girlfriend.
The 26-year-old was taken into police custody. He now faces between one and as many as ten years in prison.
