November 11 is one of the most important days in our country’s calendar. We commemorate the regaining of independence after 123 years of partitions. Many girl scouts and boy scouts also died in the fierce battles fought over the course of many decades, and we particularly recall their memory.

We are living in difficult times – in recent years, we have gathered in large numbers at meetings, assemblies and state ceremonies, where, proudly wearing our uniforms, we represented our values and ideals. This year, we will honor the memory of the heroes of the struggle for independence in a different way. Delegations from all groups will place candles beneath monuments commemorating the struggles for a free Poland and at the graves of those who died.
