As we read on the Nowogrodziec local government website:
Dear Residents,
As part of the project entitled “Renovation of the observation tower in Nowogrodziec together with site development,” benches and rubbish bins were installed at the beginning of this week by the observation tower in Nowogrodziec. Maintenance work was also carried out on the trees growing there. The area was cleared of bushes and self-seeded growth.
We warmly encourage you to enjoy the charms of the park, rest and go for walks.
Municipal officials add:
We mention here the work carried out as part of the above-mentioned investment. Sheet-metal work was completed, including a titanium-zinc sheet gargoyle and a lightning protection system; within the façade, architectural elements made of ceramic brick and sandstone were renovated; the window and door joinery within the façade was recreated; the fan-shaped internal stairs were renovated, as were the tower ceiling and the internal plasterwork around the window openings.
The site development was also renovated by dismantling the octagonal brick plinth around the tower and recreating it with new bricks, renovating the retaining walls and the surface of the square around the tower as well as the surface of the entrance steps, and recreating the pedestrian paths.
Have you been there? What do you think of it?
