Friday’s incident was described on their Facebook profile by the volunteer firefighters from OSP Nowogrodziec:
Alarm! On 16 October 2020, after 3 p.m., we were dispatched to a road accident in Nowogrodziec, in the direction of Zabłocie. Upon arriving at the scene, it was established that one passenger car was involved in the incident, carrying three people. Two of them did not require medical assistance. The third person was inside the vehicle. Due to suspected spinal injury and the deformation of the vehicle’s bodywork, a decision was made to remove the vehicle’s roof using hydraulic tools in order to minimise the risk of more serious injuries. After gaining access, the injured person was evacuated and handed over to the arriving medical rescue team. In addition, the scene was secured, the vehicle’s battery was disconnected and qualified first aid was provided.
