Before the BKS – Czarni Lwówek Śląski match, BKS defender Sławek Dul received a gift to mark his 100th appearance in BKS colors. The gift was a commemorative shirt bearing the number of matches played and the player’s name.
Saturday’s match, played in the rain, was of average quality, with the unfavorable weather having a major impact. The wet pitch caused problems for both the hosts and the visitors. The opening stages belonged to BKS Bolesławiec. Our players often appeared in Czarni Lwówek Śląski’s penalty area, but we lacked precision. Adrian Kulesza and Michał Kapusz had good chances, but we were unable to capitalize. As time passed, the visitors gradually began to make their presence felt and the match became very even. However, BKS Bolesławiec’s defensive unit performed well and did not allow our team to concede. The score was therefore goalless at halftime.
After the change of ends, only BKS Bolesławiec controlled the action. Our players threw themselves at the opposition and looked for the goal that would give us the lead. Jacek Bochnia came close when his header struck the crossbar of Czarni’s goal. The excellent performance of the Czarni Lwówek Śląski goalkeeper is also worth highlighting; his saves repeatedly kept the visitors from conceding.
In the 60th minute, we were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. In a scramble in the penalty area, Adrian Kulesza won the ball and put us ahead with an accurate shot, making it 1–0. When Filip Zagórski found the top corner with a superb effort after a pass from Oskar Pochwała, increasing the lead to 2–0, it became clear that we would not surrender the victory. The visitors, playing ambitiously, tried to score a consolation goal, but Jakub Walczak defended our goal well and denied them. BKS Bolesławiec ultimately defeated Czarni Lwówek Śląski 2–0.
Our team will play its next match away against Victoria Ruszów (17 October, 3:00 p.m.).
