Another success for the Bolesławiec County Office. The local government will receive PLN 13.5 million in EU funding. The funds obtained will be allocated, among other things, to the reconstruction of Karola Miarki and Żwirki i Wigury streets. – We will modernize these streets comprehensively – says Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Bolesławiec County Board. The total value of the investment is over PLN 8.3 million.
The EU will also co-finance the modernization of Vocational Education Centres, a unique project covering the entire Lower Silesia region. Three educational centres will be established in Bolesławiec. Students from Jelenia Góra, Zgorzelec and Złotoryja, among others, will receive education in our city. – As far as vocational education is concerned, Bolesławiec will become just as important, or perhaps even more important, than centres such as Legnica or Jelenia Góra – Kwaśniewski emphasizes.
Moreover, a Multimedia Centre for Pedagogical and Library Information will be established in Bolesławiec. The county will receive nearly PLN 400,000 for this purpose. – The resources of university libraries will be available at arm’s length, or rather just one mouse click away – says Dariusz Kwaśniewski. – They will be available not only to teachers, but also to pupils, students and anyone interested – he adds.
The county will also receive over PLN 330,000 in funding for the E-Office. – This will certainly improve the quality of services provided by the County Office – Kwaśniewski notes. – More matters will be possible to handle online.
Most of the EU-funded projects are to be completed next year. The Bolesławiec County Board is now awaiting a decision regarding a grant for the renovation of the Old Theatre. – I hope that we will receive this money later this year – says Dariusz Kwaśniewski. – Everything is heading in the best possible direction.
