– We are withdrawing old buses from PKS. We would like all the buses in the company to be new or nearly new – said Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak.
Six used Mercedes vehicles with mileage of approximately 400,000 km have been travelling on the roads of Bolesławiec County since October 1. Ultimately, the coaches may cover more than 2 million km. The buses are in very good condition and fully equipped.
– These are buses that we acquired through an operating lease, so we will repay them in instalments over the next five years. The money for repaying the lease will come from funds generated by the company – said Łukasz Jaźwiec, President of PKS Bolesławiec.
The buses are intended to improve travel comfort for people using PKS services and provide the highest level of safety.
– We want our county-owned company to be seen as a good and reliable carrier that provides high-quality services in this area – said the Starost.
