A resident of Lubań County displayed extreme irresponsibility by bringing two pieces of unexploded ordnance to the District Police Headquarters in Lubań on Sunday. The man probably found them somewhere in the county. Lubań police officers notified bomb-disposal specialists from Bolesławiec. Based on a photograph of the unexploded ordnance, the specialists identified them as mortar shells.
The bomb-disposal specialists will soon arrive at the scene to safely neutralize the unexploded ordnance.
The shells pose a serious threat, and it is necessary to evacuate the station itself as well as residents of buildings located within a 300-meter radius of the police station.
