The English word neat /niːt/ (pronounced “neet”) means, among other things, tidy, orderly and meticulous. In Latin, “nitidus” means shiny or gleaming. The studio’s name is both the mission and motto of its creators: the meaning of this word refers to the style of the photographs produced at the studio. Another advantage of Neat Studio is its attention to timeless styling, so that photographs and advertising materials can be used for as long as possible while remaining in line with current trends. The photography and makeup studio is run by Marek Opała and Justyna Szewczyk.
Marek began his photography work while still in secondary school. Over the years, his hobby grew into a passion, with the purchase of his first professional photography equipment becoming a turning point. Continuous work on improving the quality of his photographs, observing and understanding light, and planning engaging compositions resulted in more demanding and engaging commissions.
Justyna’s interest in makeup began as early as primary school. She keeps up to date with the latest trends in fashion and makeup. Justyna is a graduate of Pro Academy School of Makeup. For her work, she uses only tried-and-tested, high-quality products which, combined with an individual approach to every client, allow her to highlight all the assets of the person who comes under her makeup brush. Justyna’s skills can complement any photo session, whether it takes place in the studio or elsewhere.

Advertising Session for Lubomierski Amber Oil
When selling online, presenting a product in the best possible light is crucial. In advertising and product photography, it is important to convey through an image the sensory impressions that the viewer might experience in reality. In the case of the oil, enclosed in a dark bottle, we focused on brightening the glass while revealing its contents, which gleamed with the golden gradient of natural rapeseed oil. The label, inspired by an ecological aesthetic, is very subdued. To focus the viewer’s attention on it, we used soft lighting that would not leave strong, distracting reflections on the glass, because our eyes naturally turn first toward the brightest points in a photograph. Golden waves of oil spread through the air, while seeds and flowers soared. The photograph below is a composite made from approximately 10 different frames, and preparing it took a total of 3.5 hours. Session with a Python
The photo session with a royal python was a challenge. When the model Eliza Sondaj wrote to say that a photo shoot with such an exotic animal could be arranged, the session’s creators set up the studio: a large, enclosed space filled with a variety of plants. Working with Centrum Ogrodnicze Meduza was just as fruitful as the session itself. The animal was cared for by its owner, Maciek Bugaj, who explained how to look after the snake without harming the python. The first few minutes were spent tensely waiting to see how the python would react to its new surroundings, the flash and contact with an unfamiliar person. It soon became clear that the exotic model was gentle, posed bravely and behaved very amiably.
