In October, the founding meeting of the National Photographers’ Industry Commission of the Association of Polish Crafts was held. During the meeting, the Commission’s presidium was elected. It will represent the photographic community affiliated with craft organizations throughout the country.
Marek Gołąbek was appointed chairman of the Commission, while Robert Łupiński and Jarosław Janasek became deputy chairmen, and Marcin Krajewski was elected secretary.
Importantly, the representative of our region and the Chamber of Crafts in Wrocław on this body is Arkadiusz Majewski, a Bolesławiec photographer and teacher at the Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Przyrodniczych in Bolesławiec (until recently operating under the name Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych).
The Association of Polish Crafts reports:
The establishment of the Commission is an important step toward integrating and strengthening the community of craft photographers. The newly created body will represent the industry within the structures of the Association of Polish Crafts, initiate activities supporting the development of the photography profession, and support vocational education and the promotion of photographic services.
