On August 7, 2020, the renovated bridge was officially opened to traffic. Everyone liked the workmanship, but from the beginning it was clear that the clean pillars would not remain that way for long. And yet no one marked their artistic presence there for quite some time. The anonymous “natural born artists” held back their creativity for almost a month.
Personally, we are grateful to them that the inscriptions are modest and pleasant, because on the bridge pillar on Zgorzelecka Street, a haiku has been calligraphed in large black letters: “A tuber is a false bit**h!”. We encourage the initiators who like to talk a lot and do little to hurry, because, as Father Twardowski might have told them: Let’s hurry to organize a contest, they’re scribbling so fast.
