The incident occurred after 9:00 p.m. on the site of the former Wizów plant in Łąka. The man became trapped in a settling tank. A bystander heard cries for help. They also indicated the direction in which the injured man might be located.
Firefighters had difficulty accessing him because the ground was very boggy. They had to secure themselves with ropes so they would not become stuck as well. The man was pulled out after less than an hour of operations. He was handed over to the police.
