We have received another report of problems with water availability, this time in Różyniec,
"(...) Please publicize the issue of the lack of water in Różyniec. What is happening here with the water shortages is some kind of misunderstanding—how much longer can we endure this? There is no water every so often. People, it is the 21st century, yet we feel as if we were living in the Stone Age. Best regards."
We have already received a response from Gmina Gromadka regarding this matter, which we are publishing again:
MODERNIZATION OF THE KRZYŻOWA WATER TREATMENT PLANT
One of the important objectives of the Gromadka Water Supply, Sewerage and Treatment Plant is to ensure that the residents of Gmina Gromadka receive water of the highest quality and that water is supplied continuously, taking planned modernization and repair work into account. Due to recurring reports from residents of the villages of Krzyżowa, Osła and Różyniec about interruptions in water supply during peak consumption hours, Gmina Gromadka will modernize the Water Treatment Plant in Krzyżowa in 2020–2022.
The first part of the investment is set to begin within the next few weeks. It is being carried out as part of a larger project co-financed by European Union funds through the Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020. The planned investment, titled “Sanitary sewer network with connections in Krzyżowa, Różyniec and Osła, with the Osła–Gromadka transfer line, together with the modernization of the wastewater treatment plant in Gromadka—stage II,” will be carried out by Kanwod of Golina for PLN 7,191,478.23. It will include, among other things, replacing the pumps in the wells and increasing their capacity, which will improve the capacity of the water intake, as well as replacing the intermediate pumps with new, higher-capacity units.
Furthermore, to ensure continuous operation, the Krzyżowa Water Treatment Plant will be expanded with a visualization system that will transmit the following data to the visualization and monitoring system: water levels in the tanks, pump operation, information about pump failures and power outages. The monitoring system’s center will be located in the Central Dispatch Center of the future operator, namely the Gromadka Water Supply, Sewerage and Treatment Plant.
The investment also includes plans to install a photovoltaic system connected to the internal electrical installation of the Water Treatment Plant. The planned photovoltaic system will consist of 66 photovoltaic (PV) panels. With this number of panels, the system’s rated capacity will be 21.7 kWp.
In addition, the second part of the investment, concerning the modernization of the plant, is planned for 2022: the construction of a water tank. The planned tank will be built next to the existing water tanks. It will enable a fully smooth water distribution process for the residents of Krzyżowa, Różyniec and Osła.
The measures taken will help eliminate the temporary water shortages occurring in Krzyżowa, Różyniec and Osła during periods of maximum consumption. They will also ensure continuous monitoring of the Water Treatment Plant’s operation and enable a faster response to distribution problems.
