The video footage presents people who attended the Bolesławiecka Jedynka scout camp in Osiek Drawski, Drawsko Pomorskie County, Koszalin Voivodeship, in July 1972. Does anyone recognize themselves in this film? We encourage our readers to watch the footage and share their thoughts.
And here is what the scouts from the Hufiec Szarych Szeregów in Bolesławiec wrote about the film on their Facebook profile:
Attention! An interesting initiative!
In July, we received a very interesting message at our email address from Mr. Marcin Hołowiński, a collector of old cameras and analogue equipment who lives in Gdańsk. At one of the flea markets, he found an old film reel—it turned out to be a black-and-white film made by Scout Przemysław Bonin at the Bolesławiecka Jedynka scout camp! The year was 1972. Mr. Marcin gave us the entire film, together with its cover, which lists the creators and the most important information. He also created a digital version that we can all watch.
Thank you very much!
A task for the scouts—can you recognize your parents, grandparents, uncles or neighbors in the film? Perhaps you know that someone close to you or someone you know was once a scout and may have attended this camp? We are waiting for your messages—we want to prepare a detailed description of the film together with the camp participants!
Moreover, it would surely be nice to see yourself and your friends in a film after so many years.
Stay alert!
