We recently wrote that on Thursday, October 8, an almost 100-meter-long oil slick appeared on the road between Krzyżowa and Gromadka. It was so slippery that the drivers of a Renault and a Mercedes left the road and ended up in a ditch. Only the Renault driver was injured in the collision. The man was taken to hospital for observation.

Serious road incidents frequently occur at this location. There is a “Slippery surface” warning sign and a speed limit of 40 km/h.

Another serious accident occurred on Tuesday, October 13. At around 7:40 a.m., the driver of a Nissan Primera lost control of the car, left the road and hit a roadside tree.

The driver was alone. “He was trapped in the vehicle,” Robert Brzeziński, deputy commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. To free him, firefighters had to cut through the Nissan’s bodywork.

The man suffered severe leg injuries. He was taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. Excessive speed was probably the cause of the accident.
