Two professional soldiers from the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów, as well as two former soldiers from the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Land Forces Military Academy in Wrocław and the Regional Military Medical Board in Wrocław, were detained in Lubusz and Lower Silesian Voivodeships. The deputy commander of the 105th Kresy Military Hospital in Żary and one other person were also detained.

Gazeta Lubuska reports on the case:

A total of six people were charged with various offenses. The suspects partially admitted to committing the alleged acts and gave extensive explanations during questioning. One person was remanded in custody for three months. The deputy commander and the four other suspects were subjected to preventive measures in the form of a property bond, supervision by a military superior and the police, a ban on leaving the country, and suspension from official duties.

“The subject of these proceedings also includes the arrangement and issuance at the 105th Kresy Military Hospital in Żary of medical certificates attesting to false information, which served as the basis for receiving compensation benefits from various insurance companies,” explains prosecutor Colonel B. Okoniewski.
