The incident occurred on Friday, July 31. Volunteer firefighters from Ocice (Bolesławiec municipality):
At 10:46 p.m., they were dispatched to an oil-based substance spilled on the roadway in Bożejowice.
The firefighters added:
Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that the hazard affected both the county road and the municipal road. We neutralized the spill on the municipal road (under an agreement with the municipal mayor, this is our responsibility), while the county road was handled by the county road authority.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. In addition to the uniformed personnel from Ocice, firefighters from Bolesławiec, the police, and a representative of the County Roads Authority also took part in the operation.
