Sirens will sound throughout the county. They will once again commemorate the hour the Uprising began

As reported by Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka:

On Saturday, 1 August 2020, at 5:00 p.m. a training exercise for the population early-warning and alarm system will be held in the Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka. As part of the exercise, all sirens will be activated and the acoustic “alarm announcement” signal will be broadcast (a three-minute modulated siren sound).

Municipal officials add:

We appeal to residents to treat the signals being broadcast as an exercise, and not as a real threat. Broadcasting the acoustic “Alarm announcement” signal during the exercise will also commemorate the 76th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising.
