PPIS statement

The State County Sanitary Inspector in Bolesławiec reports that testing of the water quality from the Gromadka public water supply system [...] Gromadka Water Treatment Plant detected an exceedance of the indicator microbiological parameters—namely, the number of bacteria from the coliform group. The water is suitable for consumption after boiling. Boiling is also required for water used to prepare meals, wash fruit and vegetables eaten raw, brush teeth and wash dishes, and bathe newborns and infants.

Work is underway to restore water quality compliant with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of December 7, 2017, on the quality of water intended for human consumption [...].

Warning: Water must be boiled for at least 2 minutes and then left to cool without rapid cooling. Unboiled water may be used for daily washing, laundering clothes, cleaning work (e.g. washing floors) and flushing toilets.

This recommendation remains in force until another statement is issued.

Details are available on the Gromadka Municipality website.
