Bolesławiec criminal investigators, based on the information they had gathered, identified a man suspected of committing the theft. The crime took place on the night of July 6–7 in Bolesławiec. – The thief unscrewed four wheels from a vehicle with foreign registration plates, leaving the car on bricks and jacks – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

She adds:

Police detained a 30-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, who has a number of offences, including offences against property, on his record. During the operation, officers also established where the stolen property might be located. Four large wheels with alloy rims were hidden in a rapeseed field.

The 30-year-old admitted to the crime. The man is a repeat offender, which is why he may face a sentence of between three months and as much as seven and a half years in prison.

The recovered property, worth more than PLN 14,000, was handed over to its owner.
