The incident occurred on Monday, July 6. A Soviet anti-personnel grenade was found on the grounds of Złotoryja’s Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących. The matter was handled by soldiers from Bomb Disposal Patrol No. 23 of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec:
After securing the unexploded ordnance with sandbags and rubber aprons, we managed to detonate it safely for the surrounding area.
