The higher-ranked visitors started the match more effectively and took the lead in the 16th minute. Their joy did not last long, however, as in the 30th minute Jakub Kwoczka scored with a fine shot under the crossbar to make it 1–1. BKS followed up and scored three more goals before half-time. First, Adrian Biały’s cross was successfully headed home by Marek Majka.
A moment later, returning to BKS, Michał Kapusz got his name on the scoresheet. Just before the break, Filip Zagórski increased the lead to 4–1. Four more goals were scored after the change of ends. Following an individual effort, Kamil Posadowski beat the Stal goalkeeper, and when a rout seemed likely, the fourth-tier side got to work. This resulted in three goals. The match ended 5–4 to BKS.
